The
Delorean itself
as a car, is a marvel to behold. Creating one
out of Lego building blocks has been a dream of mine for a long
time. Tackling this vehicle and perfecting it to be as close
to
the one in the movie has been an extreme challenge. Combining blocks
and other creative items, I am pleased with the results! A
true
to life "flux capacitor" made from Lego and low voltage wire, a "Mr.
Fusion" and a barcode license plate were all details that I felt
necessary to make this vehicle!
Robotic Doors?
Using over 20 gears, axles and a Droid Developer
Scout Robot, I created
doors with the programmable motor. They open together or one
at a
time
based on the orders given. The differentials in the roof allow 1 door
to be locked
and the other will still operate.
