Living With Sugar Gliders

This in an animal that ranks high on our list of strange and unusual!
An Australian gliding possum, otherwise known as a Sugar Glider, is an animal that brings constant pleasure and enjoyment to its keepers. They enjoy jumping to you, hanging out on you while you do everyday chores or just sitting back and watching some TV with you. These little flying furballs will be your best friends for life! Gliders aren't for everyone becasue they require a lot of work and care on their human's part to ensure good health and welfare of the animal. If you are able to have the patience and love they need, you can have one of the neatest pets around.  Sugar Gliders Are VERY smart and learn to recognize you as their parent, this is NOT an overnight process. They nibble, fuss, and make a loud crabbing sound when they are young and not yet "bonded". The noise does stop as they become more comfortable with their new parents. Before you know it, they are sleeping in your hand or shirt, after that they become a lot more lively and playful. There is nothing like having a flying critter that jumps to you on command. They will become loyal enough to the point that you can go out in public and the animal will not leave you.
